That regulating body would be the SEC. There's just one problem. Every SEC employee who "plays the game" is given a nice cushy job for life at a big bank or brokerage firm after they decide to leave public office.

This of course generates NO conflict of interest, and does not explain why the SEC expends all its resources going after small time tokyojoe type scams, instead of going after the billion-dollar-wearing-a-nice-suit scams. And Amazon is on a path to profitability, and I've got a bridge I can sell you real cheap.
