<<<what CDNX is doing to Birch is equivolent to something like the NYSE halting trading on Coca-Cola until they cough up their recipe for their syrup.. >>> I believe CDNX is attempting to clean up the bullchit that has flown around these small cap markets for years and years, and they are telling the companies to back up their statements with provable facts within industry standards. BMD is but one of many companies to face this scrutiny in the last year, as the CDNX has got their act together, and acted to clean up their backyard. If anything, I would say BMD should have been halted a long time ago, but the CDNX can only do so much at one time. The frequency of halts has been increasing over the last year, and the CDNX is using this club to ensure companies file all necessary documentations, and have a responsible management and Board of Directors in place. As with all things, it is not perfect, but I think these actions are improving protection for shareholders over previous years. My training is in chemistry, and BMD's assertion that they have discovered some new complex of gold that is resistant to breakdown and subsequent detection by standard industry techniques is possible, but the story has gone on with no published peer validated proof for years and it is now time to prove it to the industry and it's shareholders. The market cap of this stock seems supported solely by this new precious metal concept and could likely plummet if it was found to be untrue,....so CDNX has called BMD and told them to show their cards,...enough is enough. Judging from past halts, BMD will now be forced to validate their past NR's and prove they are actually doing what they say they are doing, and have what they say they have,...and they will have to prove they have the expertise in their management and on their board to carry out what they say they are going to do,...and they will have to show they are proceeding in compliance with normal industry standards,...and they will have to prove that they are still a mining company, and not something else. Until they do this, they will likely not be allowed to use any of the facilities of the CDNX. The CDNX is acting to protect shareholders, and improve their reputation in the world,...something any independent shareholder should applaud.
