The NRA is the best example of a grass roots citizen's lobbying organization in the country. A large number of ordinary citizens, pooling their money and voices in a coordinated effort to get their legislators to listen to their concerns.

It is exactly how the system should work.

One of the saddest aspects of this debate is that the NRA has been taken over by the manufacters of cheap handguns,
