Wiz,

It was not long ago that I was at the PlanetRx IPO roadshow at the FourSeasons Hotel on 57th and during the Q&A the company was asked how many prescriptions they had actually filled up to that time. The management squirmed so much in dodging the question that the buysiders in attendance started snickering and soon uproarious laughter filled the room. We basically took it to mean close to zero.

Of course the deal was wildly oversubscribed; the lack of a viable business plan was not a concern in a frothy IPO market. But keeping up with the joneses and your lipper ranking was paramount then.

My challenge to you Wiz, is to pick the next PIG to go belly up. Win a prize. Impress your peers. But definitely start here:
