Tenchusatsu:
the VC820 and the OR840, are still in production today.
According to Intel, the above statement has been true since Nov 99. The real problem is you just can't find any suppliers who are receiving any product. In late 99 / early 00, you could blame the lack of availablility of RDRAM based motherboards on lack of RIMM's.
Why these motherboards have "appeared" to have stopped shipping in last week I haven't a clue. It could be transition to 820e chipset boards or whatever reason.
However, if you can procure the balance of Intel's BX, LX, 810, 815 and GX chipset motherboards, it get you wondering what's going on at Intel about the level of mass market desktop support for RDRAM.
I personally received an OR840 with RDRAM last week but can't find one this week if I wanted it. Also, a RMA VC820 with PC700 RIMMs came in yesterday for a "socalled defective" CC820 so RDRAM based Intel motherboards does exist but enough volume of product to validate 3-4% market share of RDRAM is hard to validate.

PS 815e chipset motherboards from Intel arrive by the thousands, much greater quantites than any RDRAM supported products I have ever seen, on 6/26
