Don't think so. If just trading, they wouldn't have bothered to pay $4,000,000 (non-refundable) for licensing rights. They could have traded by just taking the equity interest. I think they see applications beyond the automotive market and want to participate. There is a braod range of applications that could be pursued with their financial backing - cell phones, smart appliances, all sorts of specialised industrial equipment. JMHO.
