Yeah, the PC's that have X KBytes of space rather than the X GBytes necessary to keep the data. And the X MHz for photo/video editing so it only takes hours rather than minutes to get the stuff e-mailed and posted.

So I guess you are saying that anyone who buys a digital camera or an MP3 player needs to upgrade his or her PC?

All the evidence indicates that general retail sales are slowing, I'm not making this up. PC's are a significant purchase, they will suffer if the trend continues. There are a lot of big ticket items that are just hitting their stride in the consumer market, DVD's and digital cameras. There a some new products that are compelling, PS2's and MP3's. They all compete with PC's for discretionary consumer dollars, which is a finite resource.

Maybe consumer sales will rebound, I don't have a crystal ball. But the trend doesn't look good for that small portion of the microprocessor market.
