Unlike many of you, I have not set the Hunger Site as my home page. Instead, I have the Astronomy Picture of the Day site: antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov Every day a new picture of something astonishing in the Universe. It's impossible for me to think of God as a person in the sense that I comprehend "person." Not the God who created the Universe. The consciousness is limitless. There is no limbic system, quick to react to perceived threats by hormonal urges to fight or flight. There is no ego. There is no superego. I don't think it's an accident that the cultures that developed the concept of One God were nomadic, and spent a lot of time in the desert looking at the stars.
