I find the taunt and contriteness indicator to be the best. Whichever side starts taunting or starts to throw in the towel, the market goes the other way. -g-

bobby beara: We don't need a filter, we need some "more" bulls with balls. Balls enough to post on a regular basis their bullish views while providing analysis that supports those views. (You know, follow the guidelines.)

Frankly, I consider myself neither bull nor bear. I just try to ride the short to medium-term trends. However, I think some try to pigeon hole me into the permabear camp because I recognized this bull run from 1974 has over the past couple of years entered the manic blowoff stage. However, that belief has not stopped me from calling most of the rallies in this market for the last two years.

Over time, I am long much more than I am short. However, as of late I have made a lot more money going short...<g>
