You can sit on this thread and talk all this technical mumbo jumbo, but you won't answer the "real world" question of just how much does a half gig of DRDRAM cost? Can you find it for under $1000? Hell no, I bet Dell doesn't even get it this cheap. Based off of what I can find, 512 MB of DRDRAM will cost me about $2000, thus doubling my system price. Now even if I do buy into all your crap about performance, is it worth it for double the price? These Rambus salesmen must be good. Imagine if I walked into Ford and said, "I'll sell you this Rolls Royce engine for your Ford Taurus and you'll get a 10% performance boost, but it's going to double the price of the car." Somehow, Rambus was able to pull that one over on Intel, good for them. BTW- We both want the same thing for different reasons. I know how bad DRDRAM will be for Intel, so I want them to stay devoted. You are suffering a case of mass delusion and think Rambus can get away with all this crap they are pulling. In the end we want the same thing. chic
