It traps the nerds that think they are TA geniuses. When these things go, they move vertical like short squeezes (even if they're falling) as the nerds jump ship.

So what are you saying here? that those newbies watching the mathematical indicators and/or chart patterns, without an eye on the tape, often get stuck in setups with weak underlying price action?
