UPDATE on RAMBUS Objectives from annual meeting notes: Look like Tate is making good on his objectives for RAMBUS this year. Still do not know how he intends to leverage the IP model but all other objectives have been met as of now. Phase II Objectives: - Solidify position in PC and consumer digital video markets ----RDRAM manufacturing continues to ramp exponentially. - Push Rambus standard by advancing their technology lead ---June QRSL RDRAM introduced - Apply the standard to new markets (e.g. communications) ---May-- Network switch application design wins made public - License their IP for non-compatible uses (e.g. SDRAM, DDR) -----Toshiba licenses SDRAM, DDR and new RDRAM patents - Leverage the IP business model ----?????
