What ends up as "fair" is what is allowable by both/all sides.

Huh?

Tens of thousands of children are dying in sub-Sahara Africa. Both/all sides are allowing it. I refuse to believe it is fair.

If anyone should be acutely aware of this it is a lawyer; that is their trade, fair treatment
before the law.

Uh, no. That is NOT my trade. My trade is to try to get my client what he or she wants as long as what he or she wants is not something illegal. Whether the law is fair is up to the legislature (for statutory law) or the courts (for common law).
