I got some family members into SNDK after the Lexar legal victory because I felt it was a landmark decision for SanDisk. Well, I could not have been more wrong.

And I got family members into Qualcomm, and they (and I) have seen a > 50% plunge.

But Qcom is a great company, the majority of my portfolio, and the MSFT/INTC of the next decade. So if the investing horizon is longterm, should come out smelling like roses.

For a different explanation of why GMST dropped, investors might want to look at potential earnings dilution from acquisitions (near term anyway). As for why SNDK dropped after a favorable ruling on the Lexar case, combined with better than expected earnings, the only explanation I know is irrational exuberance (for other stocks).

Ausdauer & Apollo,

I have actually been in GMST for quite some time...before much of the insanity began. However, given GMST's gorilla potential, I am still shocked by its % decline in comparison to others. I am unwavered in my opinion of GMST's future...but damn it's been painful.

I see SNDK's potential as similar. Tornado winds are swirling.

Just want to make sure that if I do buy in here, I understand why SNDK would experience a 70% drop from its highs...and also the fundamental reasons why it would overcome and prosper over the long term.

This knowledge will allow me to hang tight and add more...like in GMST's case (at 38 a couple of times).

That's all.

Thanks.
