Re: Believe me, Intel is already aware of this, even though they are silent on how they will address the issue.

Tench,

Reading between the lines tells me that later Willy's will not use the expensive DRDRAM.

At 1.5 Ghz, AMD on DDR, Intel on DRDRAM, how much better do you think Willy will be on a percentage basis (average for a wide range of benchmarks)? How much of this performance gain will be due to DRDRAM?

Ten,

I seriously don't think 1.5 GHz Mustang on single-DDR platform will even come close to the performance of Willamette on dual-RDRAM at the time.

I'm not sure how to interpret this. Clock for clock, Athlon should give better performance. The implication of your statement is that Willy will be running at a much higher frequency than 1.5GHz.
