Earlie: Good points. IMO, MSFT is a microcosm of the bubble economy in general. It's accounting practices are also somewhat prototypical for the rest of the big tech issues, including Sicko and INTC. Therefore a breakup would be traumatic but cleansing for the industry as a whole, as these practices come to the light. Not unlike opening the cupboard door and seeing the cockroaches dart about frantically, before they inhale the lethal dose of Black Flag you've just sprayed.....
