Gottfried,

From MW:Intel on Tuesday revised its interest and other income estimates for the second quarter to be approximately $2.3 billion, up from the previously stated $725 million.

For some unknown reason the market punishes companies which report gains from investments, since these are not part of operating income. Logical? I don't think so, but this is how WS works.

G.,

Perhaps a chart plotting the growth(shrinkage) in backlog (i.e. Bookings less Shipments) during the past 9 months might help some of the naysayers see how the market will react to the numbers.

Another $600M plus into the backlog while shipments continue to ramp seems to be quite healthy growth from my perspective.

FWIW,
Ian.
