Well, I've surfed the waves in San Diego, caught sailfish off the coast of southern Mexico, snorkled off Key West, and fallen overboard off a trimaran in Tampa Bay, to name a few experiences.

What do YOU know about the ocean, excepting 'that's where the chicks in bikini's lay out on the sand'. <vbg>
