Who has ever demanded you to respect anything? NO ONE You are the one who said IF you respected me I HAD to respect you- as if respect was some sort of bargain you make in the marketplace. What a sordid kind of respect THAT is. You really have no clue. NO ONE wanted your respect- you were the one who craved it. And quite frankly you've done nothing but lose respect, at least from me, since you got here. You've gone negative in my book.

The right to hold one's own beliefs does not eliminate the right of others to challenge those beliefs. Anyone of any belief who comes to an open forum and discusses those beliefs is open to challenge. It is possible to respect the right of a person to hold a belief without respecting the belief.

If my neighbor believes that Santa Claus is the saviour; I have no problem with that. But if he comes on this thread and starts trying to settle discussions by revealing the word of Santa, or if he starts demanding that the code of Santa be taught in schools, I have every right to challenge his beliefs. As he has every right to challenge mine.
