There are no unsinkable ships.............. The paper pushers who spill drinks on the soil of Bonaparte's grave invite a divine retribution that need not arrive with pyrotechnics from the heavens. Napoleon himself prophesied: "When China awakes, the world will tremble." A $50 gold rally in Hong Kong on the heels of Goldman Sachs' party would almost be worth a bargain with the Devil. Even without Daniel Webster to plead the defense, there would be some comfort in Hell watching gold's foes burn..... Still, the ultimate goal of us gold bugs is..... ... expression "as good as gold" is not a reminder of past glories, but a statement of expected standards. In that sense, it is a world like the one which existed before the Great War. That world owed much to the Napoleonic era. Ours may soon cry out for another Napoleon. Reginald H.
