Shoving this ""hate"" crimes legislation through, proves to me that we have TOO MUCH GOVERNMENT. Everyone should check if their congress person voted on it and if they support it you need to find out why.

Monday in Houston, clinton actually made a visit to the family of Mr. Byrd, the man who was killed by dragging, to lobby for passage of the bill.

Seems they are overlooking the fact that the men that killed Mr. Byrd were convicted of murder, and happen to live in a state that WILL deal with them. What more could a ""hate crimes"" bill have done here, other than a little legacy building and nosesticking?

Now I cannot wait 10 or 12 or 20 years after no telling how many appeals, what liberal will be screaming about Texas executing these murderers. Vicious cycle, no?
