in December 2001 we can begin to to think about how far to the right the big event should be moved then. anyway, we now get the traditional FOMC rally, combined with the end-of-quarter and end-of-month rally. Fleck has summed it up quite nicely:

We can have a rally into the FOMC meeting, then get our end-of-the-quarter rally, followed by our Fourth of July rally, followed by our summer rally. Then we can have our year-end rally. Then we can look forward to the beginning-of-the-year rally. And so on. These are not to be confused with the end-of-the-month rallies or the beginning-of-the-week rallies or the three-day-weekend rallies or any other of rallies that are supposed to happen all the time.

only he shouldn't have said 'supposed' to happen. they DO happen.
