the toronto exchange hit a new high yesterday, and has been solid since the spring debacle. nortel holds it up, but the banks and oils have been strong too.

i bought ffiv to play the rally today. had i not had some isld already i would've bought that too.

i do not understand how yahoo will make significant amounts of $$ but that might not matter for now anyway. as far as the mkt being surreal, i'm thinking the mkt can get to new highs in the u.s. perhaps by Labour Day. What happened in March and April is now forgotten. I know a broker who literally WAS a car salesman b/4 entering his 'profession'. he tells his clients that stuff like dell, softie and intel ALWAYS comes back. So far he's been proven correct. Original thinking in the mkts is not required if household names like dell always prove you right by rebounding.
