I had heard of the hybrid car idea of turning the braking action back into energy to be stored in the battery. I
always thought it was more that the tires were connected to a generator to do the braking action, and the
generator would charge the battery.
I did not realize it was "heat" back to electricity.


this sounds correct, my mistake. Also, I agree there must be a heat gradient to capture the energy. At least, that's what Carnot beleived <ggg>
