A note on today's decline:

The new Gilder Technology report is out today, and it mentions that although EMC remains 'a goliath in the storage field' it also states that NTAP 'will win the largest margins, revenues and dollar growth.'

It appears that some are extrapolating that to mean that NTAP's gains could be EMC's losses. (just guessing on my part there).

That makes the assumption that the market is currently valuing the McData part of EMC at zero. That's a little bit too far of a reach for me.

I'm sorry if I gave that impression. After all, I did say IF McData goes belly up. They are doing very well right now. What I've been questioning in my discussions with Gus is their ability to continue to compete in the long run.
