Except for the fact that most intelligent investors recognized WFII for what it is: a very good construction company but NOT one qualified by its very nature for the Gilder telecosm list of ascendant technology companies. The "ones in the know" took advantage of the opportunity to sell or sell short WFII, knowing that it would never make the list and that, since it was running on that prospect, it would most likely fall. Yesterday before the close, the smarts sold to the would-be crowd who climbed aboard before the Gilder letter was published, hoping that lightning would strike. No such luck.
