Intel to invest $2 bln in Israel plant
TEL AVIV, June 26 (Reuters) - Intel Corp will set up a new $2 billion microchip plant in Israel that will employ 2,500 workers, Israel Radio reported on Monday.

The radio said plans for the plant will be submitted within a week and it was not clear where in Israel the plant will be built.

The report said Intel officials in Israel announced the company's intentions at a meeting with officials from the Industry and Trade Ministry and the Finance Ministry.

Intel already has a $1.6 billion plant in southern Israel which builds microprocessors.
