I don't want fringe ideas founded on pure belief becoming mainstream.

Not to interrupt our quest for ultimate understanding of the cosmos but would any of the logic and fact junkies among us care to offer comments/predictions about the government's intent to investigate Midwestern gas prices?

I just read that Gore is calling on Richardson (like he needs something else to investigate) and Browner (who keeps upping the production ante) to find out if the oil companies are fixing prices and gouging consumers.

I don't presume to have the answer but expecting this blue-ribbon trifecta to finish in the money seems the longest of long shots.

Forgive me for jumping the gun but I will say now that the verdict will be: Reagan did it in Oval Office.

This prediction based on faith alone!

Mike

A tribe was born color- blind and tone-deaf, but the members were unaware of their condition. They came into contact with others, and began to learn the ways of the city. But many things struck them as peculiar. They would see people listening to radios and cd players with obvious relish, and they would wonder how all of that dreadful noise could appeal to them. They would see signs juxtaposing colors to form words, and people stopping to read them, and it would appear they were perusing something blank. They would listen to people try to tell them about music and painting and the way that vocal intonation or the colors chosen for one's wardrobe could indicate mood, and they found it bizarre, not comporting with any reality they were familiar with. So they decided that most people were in the throes of a delusion..........
