Especially considering "bartering" is included as a line item which is also included as an expense line item of $1,050,000, so real "net" revenues for the year were only $51,000 excluding "bartering".. This kind of creative accounting, you have to be very leary of, since revenue numbers are hyped in PR's esp. w. etail companies that include both the cost of goods, give aways, and bartering (value of items received) as "revenues" before backing these items out as transaction costs, marketing and bartering (ie. value of items given). In a "barter" transaction what is given is equal to what's received theoretically adding "value" to both partners in the transaction. But from a concrete dollar point of view, bartering is revenue neutral... Items or services are being exchanged- not dollars. Accordingly to GZ, PNL is still in a "non-revenue phase".....Just how long is this phase suppose to last exactly? z
