heinz, with " death by erosion ", I meant that this is a Big Bull.

It will be like in a bullfight.

Matador "El Greeniero " will be inflicting
many small wounds with his banderillas ( small rate hikes )
on Da Big Bull, in this fashion

so that in the end, after multiple small wounds
El Greeniero will be able to proceed with

his red muleta (smaller cape) and curved sword
and...take the Big Bull

He knows ( we hope ), that if he does not use the tried and
true Matadores methods, and goes for a
soft landing the following hard landingnito
(well described in the bullfighting literature ) is likely
to happen

And we all know that Andreita Mithcellita
would never allow that.

All these events are described thoughly
in the classic economics textbook

TA, rarely do things happen slowly in this market...i see the semi book-to-bill came in at a healthy, though less than expected 1,30 (expectation was for 1,35-1,40). perhaps the cycle has reached its zenith already...if so, the market will re-rate this overvalued sector quickly.
my guess is that the current low volatility period will give way to another high volatility period soon. for now the end-of-quarter paint job still rules imo...

regards,
