Mankind will always ask another question until Man himself becomes what is our concept of a "god" today. At that point humans will long since have transcended "humanity" and will be as far above us as we are above amoeba.

Given the current rate of progress I conservatively project that to be achieved sometime in the next 1 million years, although it might be achievable in 10,000 years if we were a more intelligent race of beings.
