Jim, I ordinarily would not mind patent discussions but they seemed to have been intended to confuse rather than to clarify the issues. The problem is that there's no answer now, so it's easy to hypothesize 27,000 different scenarios and then argue about them. Like Carl's "forecast ABC for the future is correct" misstatement, there's no way to know the answer until after the event has occurred. It will all be revealed in the end whether the patents stand, how much Rambus will make from them, and how it will affect the industry. We can argue right now, but I guarantee we won't come to any agreement <G>. Dave
