Greetings Voltaire:

Sorry to have missed the porch party extravaganza. Reading the posts from the fellow porchsters, it seems to have been a very special weekend.

Seems as if no one is talking about BRCM. Just sold the July 200's cc's for monthly income (of course it was sold before the spike that occurred after 3 PM. Call it another case of "premature evaluation". Ouch!). Seems that selling covered calls is also a two edge sword. Last month I sold the covered calls on Rambus and was in good shape and out of the money until Friday morning on options expiration day. Ended up having to give up my June 62.5. That was painful. Losing 30 points of additional profit on a single day, options expiration day on 6000 shares is frustrating, to say the least. Anyway, there was no way to roll them over with the exception of rolling them over to the November 80's, which made no sense at all (at least at the time of that Friday afternoon).

My warmest regards to everyone on the porch.

David

getting little hot down that way now? You all get any rain yet, it's been raining every other day it seems it would be real hard to screw up a lawn this time year in the Midwest. As I ride around on my bike I can almost watch the corn and beans grow. When I went to school in Dekalb you could hear the damn stuff growing at night on a very still night, since they pack it so close, the leaves rub up against each other during the night as the corn grows. <g>
