Comverse Technology (CMVT:Nasdaq - news) will buy Israeli startup eXaLink for $500 million to $650 million, according to financial Web site TheMarker.com. EXaLink makes gateway equipment for cellular networks. Comverse's stock was recently trading at 97 7/8, down 0.5.
