My email
Dear Mr. Luth,

I was wondering if you could give me any insight as to what is happening to
Amkor's stock price. Amkor makes up a large part of my stock portfolio and i am
concerned in it's recent performance, including today's.

Amkor's stock seems to be underperforming in a very strong semiconductor market.
Any light you can shed on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
From a concerned investor

His response

Another company in the industry (ST Assembly & Test) had dropped around 30%
today on the basis of some bearish comments about their near term business.

I think our stock price is reacting to this, along with some general concerns
about the second quarter that were voiced last week by an analyst from Thomas
Weisel Partners.

We think that 2000 will be a terrific year for Amkor.

Regards,

Jeff Luth
