MRVC has already had a nice run (as you are well aware of). I finally sold my shares today (maybe temporarily) because the ratio of buyers to sellers had decreased dramatically and it looked like there was a large seller out there unloading each time the stock tried 64ish. I am keeping it on my list because it is volatile and a good trader plus Jenna has it on her WL.

LPTHA....holding

"With FIBR running like mad, along with all the other fiber stock(SCMR, JDSU, A,
etc) only a matter of time for the cheaper plays, MRVC, LPTHA. thoughts?"

LPTHA seems to be building momentum. Thanks to the TA advice on this thread I have surfed the waves of LPTHA since October and it has contributed a lot to my account. Thanks to everyone for their efforts and willingness to share.

Earlier today I brought HATH to this board's attention but it was quickly slapped down, and RAnde is quite right to suggest it needs careful due diligence. But, it might well be one to add to a fibre-optic watch list if it can get the word out that it is linked to this sector. Much like NEWP benefited without strictly being a f.o. play. Its core is in motion control instruments but its California subsidiary has signed contracts for optic encoders. The following press release from 4/4/00 contains an interesting quote from the CEO

quote.com

"These contracts reflect the Company's increasing participation in the fiberoptic telecommunications industry," commented Dick Smith, President and
CEO. "These orders, along with our previously
announced $1.98 million contract, help position
Hathaway's Motion Control segment as an established
supplier of quality components for the fiberoptic
telecommunications industry."

Could just be hype but there are contracts in place. This is the third time I have mentioned HATH today and it is beginning to sound like hype. Sorry about that, but I was just trying to bring it to your attention as it could be something of a SAM if it stands up to the dd tests of people here far better at this trading lark than am I. I felt it was rather quickly dismissed and is deserving of a little more diligence

Be well

LPTHA will not be cheap for very long, with 57 million in cash.
