stagnant valuations? imo the bubble should never have been allowed to form...and the Fed was concerned about the bubble as early as '94.

it is true, it is a dilemma...anecdotal evidence is not exactly what macro-economic policy should be based on, and the BLS's data are indeed in Fed governor Meyer's own words "not credible"

i agree that the Fed is trying to manage the bubble...however, i doubt it will succeed. either the thing gets away from them again by inflating further, or it eventually does the opposite. the problem being that there is too much debt in the system - way too much.
