you are on the sidelines watching....harbor some jealousy and/or contempt for the achievers I can't imagine how you get that impression. I've gone from being on food stamps to millionare and pay more taxes than most people make. Every time my taxes go up it's because my income went up even more, and I happen to think this country is worth every penny. I have nice family too. The way to achieve is not to look at every problem and say "Oh that's too big and complex to solve so lets give up". The way to achieve is to say "I can't solve it all, but I can solve this part of it and look again". Your image of government programs is outdated. There has been much improvement in these programs in the last several years. That doesn't mean all is perfect but it does show that the correct path is to try. The thought pattern of "If everyone would just leave me alone things will be okay" does not lead to success. TP
