'front running' indeed, Ibexx. Did you see the put activity in Qualcomm last week before it did a full gainer from the 3rd tier high dive board? I'm not usually into the conspiracy theory of market makers, but this kind of thing is too obvious to ignore. [by me at least; evidently the SEC thinks it ain't no big thing]. The put volume in the Q went off any known chart 48 hours before the latest FUD missles got launched--in this case a Chase Manhattan AND Bear Stearns downgrade double whammy. Now the G* traders get the poop on In Flight Network and/or the Bernie "we can get the dough, no sweat" statement and make more in an afternoon than . . . .oh heck.
