Bobby, you misunderstood what i was trying to say...it was not that we should expect the up-trend to end NOW, but rather that the long period of sentiment extremes this year points to a deteriorating long term picture. also, i doubt there was much cleaning out, as margin debt only fell by 14% in April and May, and is probably back to rising again. the NAZ seems in wave 5 though, so a new high can't be ruled out, though my money is on a failed fifth. note: anecdotes and polls are one thing, objective measures another. regards, hb
