Haim, i know - it works the same way in Austria. Wachovia's warning (a traditionally very conservative institution) regarding loan loss reserves is a very serious development imo.

note, yesterday, in spite of the whacking the treasuries got, credit spreads widened again. credit markets look more and more tenuous, and that removes an important source of bubble fuel. for now the NY securities houses have taken up the slack by expanding their credit/debt activities at a fierce clip in order to support the stock market.
