re: Elmer's idiot list is all encompassing

I'm proud to be on it because in my second post on this board I said:

"Intel has left lots of money on the table... the fact that Intel could not meet their demands means that Intel management is messing up their projections big time."

Elmer decided to jump down my throat and deride me personally...

"Brilliant enzyme... By your reasoning, Intel made their management mistakes over 3 years ago when they didn't start a new fab because that's the only way they could have produced more processors or chipsets or flash or all the other products that were capacity constrained... IMHO your analysis lacks understanding of the business. You'll fit in perfectly here with the AMDroids."

Intel management has since come out and blamed the current capacity constraints on insufficient investment in 1997 through 1999. I feel vindicated and by Elmer's logic I'm brilliant :)

Insufficient investment is a strategic management mistake at the highest levels. Heads should roll at Intel for not keeping ahead of the curve. A company with that much cash (or liquid investments) should NOT be capacity constrained.

crazyoldman...Elmer's idiot list is all encompassing, I think there's only one AMD thread poster not included on that list (hint:initials = EP)

Ok crazyoldman, I really resent that.<G> I believe Elmer has called me a few things along those lines. He even called me a simple sports fan (better watch those sports analogies guys). Ok, crazy, I won't take this personally. I know who you were really referring to.
