Good day for LOR and G*, I was really encouraged by the PR re: G* and QCOM bringing broadband access to passenger jets. This bodes well for G*, it means that soon not only will you be able to use the phone in areas not covered by traditional telcos and wireless companies, but you'll be able to get broadband internet access too. Not just in jets, but in remote areas. I think that fact is being overlooked, G* will be the only carrier in the world to bring bb internet connectivity to remote areas. The market is really staggering when you think about it. QCOM will benefit nicely from G*'s success, making it almost a given that they will provide G* with more financing when needed. It might not happen now, but someday there is going to be one hell of a short squeeze on G*. Either that or I'll be eating a lot of crow. <g> I'm really bullish on QCOM, G* and LOR. I predict that soon NOK will agree to pay royalties for WCDMA and it will have the same effect on QCOM's price as the Toshiba deal had on RMBS. I've decided to quit trading QCOM and just buy and hold the damn thing. Also like my VOXX buy, I think they've got like 5% of the handset market and their P/E is only 15-16. Their PEG must be really good, should at least bounce to 30. I suppose the discount is because they are not a "leader" and you know how all the suits and haircuts like to buy the industry leaders, it's become a mantra. Finally I submit HTEK for the thread's examination. They make microcircuits and apparently are growing sales rapidly in one area by selling Thermo Electric Cooler Controllers (TECCs)to fiber optic companies. For some reason it reminds me of when KEI shifted their focus to the semiconductor industry and their sales and margins exploded. I could be wrong but would love a second and third opinion on HTEK. It's been moving lately so I finally broke down and took a small position today. Might not be good timing but looks good for the long haul. All IMO. Kanetsu
