What makes you think that being bearish hasn't been profitable this year? Check out the NY A/D line or the mutual fund indexes or most of the non-S&P type stocks, etc., etc.

It was unpleasant to be a "too-early" bear back in 1998, but 1999 and so far in 2000, "it ain't bin ahl bad". (g)
