thanks all, for correcting me on the different Dell products, sheesh I'm way off, I'm just not a chip jock I'm sorry to say.

So let me be more direct as to what I'm trying to determine - which is, which supply chain at Dell is producing the Rambus products. Is it the corporate chain, or the consumer chain, or both, does anybody know this?

The corporate chain used to have the pentium pro's and it was a classic ATO model. It was supposed to be "more custom" than the consumer chain (although that wasn't my experience). Is the Rambus memory available in Dell products that come out of BOTH the consumer and corporate chains?

The reason I care about this is that I think the consumer chain can effectively kill any other product line from any other supplier. But the corporate chain is less efficient by design. Since I own a little Rambus now I would like the product in the efficient chain.

Nobody is going to answer this publicly that knows (I suspect) but maybe I will get a PM.
Thanks
