OT:Try putting in the ip address of the mail server and the smtp server in your programs settings instead so it doesn't have to resolve the name.

Also may sure you have both DNS IP's entries in both PC's TCP/IP settings.

OT

You probably have done this but make sure the mail server is set correctly. Incoming should be set at "pop-server" and the outgoing should be "smtp-server". Otherwise, I don't know.
