What has in fact happened is that several of the major shareholders have banded together to remove the CEO. Laycock has held this position for about eight years but did not control any major stock position in the company. I understand that the thrust of the change has more to do with a discussion about the growth of sales of the various technologies particularily oil water separators and liquid separators.

Dr. Tom Quirk is the interim CEO (a director of an Australian bio-tech that bought the flu drug Relenza to the international market-place). Understand that Geo2 is now looking for more people with sales and manufacturing experience.

The economic viability of the technologies has not been questioned (although they have very minimal market penetration at this stage). The Australian press has generally reacted quite warmly to the technological developments of Geo2.
