Your Yahoo message posting #6261 claiming that ALA will spin off its energy and cable business (excluding optics) is not necessarily correct, and is misleading. Per Peter Campbell from Alcatel USA, "Alcatel is studying an IPO of the energy cables and non-telecom related components businesses." The May 4 press release merely gives a tentative time frame about the IPO. More important, ALA is studying an IPO. Check it out yourself, or contact ALA directly. Again, an IPO by year-end is not definite, which makes your claim questionable. Why do you go by both ip_atm and Plotka on the Yahoo message boards?
