Brandon-
Richard Brown has done a fine job of articulating his objectives with the employees and the analysts. They are good objectives and can be achieved in due time because the available market is there and EDS does have the horses to make it happen. I do not think any further management change is needed at the top and I like the business fundamentals. The GM contract provides good margins and revenue but it does not contribute to the top line. Since this represents about a quarter of the revenues, then the top line growth job is made all the more difficult. My only criticism of Dick is that he should have staged expectations with the analysts with a bottom line strategy first, then a top line strategy after the bottom line is brought in line. As it happened, everyone expected top line results immediately and no one gave any credit to the impressive bottom line results that have been reported so far. Either Dick or Daley (CFO) should have personally sold this strategy to a few key analysts. I know that the press of business probably prevented this from happening but you know what they say - "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". Now everyone is paying for the pound of cure.
Best wishes
Dan
