Thanks much, Simon. That is the sort of info we need here.

Regarding the IRC. . . For clarification, I would estimate that more than half the names on the IRC you mentioned are brokers, market makers and short-sellers. If you ever log on at midnight, you'll see that many of those names never log off. I have monitored that IRC for 2 years now, and find it useful for reasons I cannot explain here. . .but not what you would think. . . .in the old days, it was very effective for helping to build momentum on a play. . .because many there were playing long. . . however, in the past year, it has been far more effective on the short side. . . .

After 2 years of monitoring it, I would estimate the breakdown to be as follows:

Out of 1000 logins. . .

100 Pro Market Makers
100 Major Brokers
100 Small Brokers
50 Paid Touts and bashers
200 Short-sellers
100 Momentum players [both long and short]
200 Wannabes
50 Media
100 Miscellaneous Logged in but not monitoring

I have figured a way to build a better mousetrap. Can't wait until I am able to share it.
